Merry Christmas !

I skipped back into my room, humming Christmas songs. I'd spent all night -from the time everyone went to bed- decorating the caves with some garland and other things that Jared had scavenged from the last raid. He'd also found a Christmas dinner and a few gifts. Things like chocolate -lots of it- and alcohol, gifts that everyone could enjoy.
I knelt down on the mattress next to Zoe and leaned down. "It's Chriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiistmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaass!!!!!!!!!!" I shouted in her ear.

I was sat in the dark corner of Becca and Zoe's room. Becca made me jump when she shouted merry christmas. I hadn't celebrated christmas before but from Melanie's memories, It looked really good.

I'd been fast asleep until Becca had woken me up by shouting in my ear. My automatic reaction [in my semi-concious state] was to jump up, knife in hand, ready for anything. Though, as quick as I'd jumped up, I'd fallen down with a 'thud'; Because I'd had a headrush as my brain began to work. Then, I looked up to see Becca stood infront of me laughing. When I'd realized the date, what Becca had shouted andmy reaction and played the scene back in my head, I started laughing aswell.

I jumped back a little, hands raised. "Only me," I murmured. Then I laughed with her, more than I had in a long time. "Merry Christmas!" I said, to both of them.

I joined in the laughter. Humans had very wierd reactions.

I smiled at Wanderer. "Girls, I've been on a little raid of my own." I told them, taking two small boxes out of my pockets, wrapped in paper with a bow on top. I handed one each to each girl.

"No. I cant" I said, pushing my hand out.

"No one else wants it," I joked. "Come on, I got them for you. Kindof funny how a pair of sunglasses can fool one of your kind," I smiled at Wanderer.

"It's because no one expects it" I answered and smiled. "I feel bad, I didn't get you anything." I added and sighed.

"I'm not expecting anything," I assured her with a smile. I pushed the small box closer to her.

I sighed, "You are going to force me to open it if I dont" I said and smiled. I took the gift and unwrapped it.

I smiled and watched her as she opened it.

I waited, quietly smiling while Wanderer opened hers. What I'd got Becca was very personal and specail and Wanderers was some I knew she'd like.

"Thankyou, I love it."I said, smiling. "Melanie does too" I added quietly.
