"Oh, balance. Another quality I don't possess," I laughed.

I laughed, "You try being balanced at the top of a pyramid." I said.

"I think I'll pass," I joked. I wondered if she'd even realised that I was talking English fluently. I sat back in my spot.

I smiled at her before sitting back on my bed.

"So what's your story?" I asked, genuinely interested. "Of course, you don't have to say."

"Its, kinda long" I said but started anyway, "Before the souls invaded, I used to live in sunny florida. I used to be the most popular girl in school and used to date the the hottest guy at school. I used to be on the cheerleading squad, doing tumbles all day, in that cute little uniform. My life was perfect.
That all changed when the souls came. I lost my boyfriend and family to them. I couldn't stand to stay in florida anymore and it was a good job I did leave. Because the seekers where on the look for me. All of my old friends, on their side.
Before all of that, I went on holiday once and met a girl called Becca. I stayed in contact with her. I remembered her telling me something about the invaders. I thought it was nonsense at the time. But now. I know its true
One night, when I was on the run. I ran into Becca and Becca took me to these caves.
That is now my home." I explained and sighed.

Ah. Becca had connections with this chick. "I'm sorry about..." I told her, not finishing.

"About what?" I asked, I tear escaping my eye which I quickly wiped away. I would do anything to see my boyfriend one more time. Even if he was a soul.

"Y'know. Your..life." I said, struggling. My life had been pretty much perfect. Well, in the sense that there was barely anything I wanted.

"Oh its fine. You just have to move forward and carry on with your life" I said and then added. "How about yours?"

"Mine... well, pretty much the same as everyone else here." I told her, staring at the floor between my feet. "I lost everything. Same as you."

I sighed, "I really miss my boyfriend though" I said, looking at my cheerleading uniform. We used to be perfect, he would be in his football uniform and me in my cheerleading uniform.
