Begging (Wanderer)

I'd had a really long, really deep sleep. I'd stayed up the past two nights on guard duty so it had been good to get a rest. When I woke up my eyes were blurry, but when they focused I noticed a note left on Becca's bed. I started wondering were she was, then I crawled out of my bedroll - half asleep - and grabbed the note. It read:

Snowie, Abbi and I have gone to look for Ever. She's gone missing and we need to find her before the Seekers.
Don't panic, we'll be back soon x

Becca.

I panicked then and automatically went over to Wanderer and started shaking her shoulders to wake her up.

When my shoulders began to shake, My eyes shot open and I automatically shrunk into the wall; out of instinct. When it was Snowie, I relaxed again.

"Wanderer have you seen Becca?" I said, my alarm showing in my voice.

"umm.. no" I said, standing up. Swaying a bit before steadying myself. "Why? where is she?" I asked, alarmed, mimicking Snowies, alarmed edge to her voice.

"I don't know! She left me a note, she left the caves to find Ever because she disappeared and Becca took Abbi too! I need to find her, I'm going to get Jared. We're going to go find them!" I said, hoping that he'd help and we'd find them and they'd be safe.

"umm. Ill come." I said, Becca and Abbi and Ever were missing. That could only mean one thing..

"I wasn't planning on leaving you behind." I said, and ran out of the door full speed toward Jared's room.

I followed her but was a bit hesitant when we reached his room. He looked at me once before turning his attention to Snowie as she explained everything.

I explained everything that happened to him, then tried to beg for him to help. He agreed of course but was a little hesitant about taking Wanderer.

I cleared my throat, trying not to make it sound as noticible as it was. I took a deep breath and said, "I don't think thats a good idea.."

"Don't think what's a good idea?" I asked, confused.

"Going to find them" I answered, staring at the floor, feeling the eyes staring into my face.

"I...I can't just leave it...Becca's out there... the only family I've got..." I explained, tears welling in my eyes as I started thinking about what it would be like to lose her.

"Im sorry, I truly am" I said, lifting my gaze. I looked at Jared who was looking at me, I felt me cheeks go warm so I looked away and at Snowie. I patted her shoulder. I sighed, if I was right with my assumptions, I would know what to do. But that was also the secret I would have to keep, even if I was totured.

"Wanderer, please. I need to go find her, I can't lose her...." I said, crying a little even though I was trying not to.

"Shes right, We can't just abandon them" Jared said.
"I know but I.. I" I stuttered.

"You can stay here if you want Wanderer, it's just...I've got to make sure that Becca's okay... I'm suppose to be the older more mature one but I behaved like a kid and now look what happened.... this is my fault... I need to make sure she's fine and safe." I said.

I would have to tell them, "I dont think they will be human anymore. Infact I have a feeling." I said.

I was suddenly crying a lot harder then before. I slumped the the ground like someone had hit me in the chest with an iron bar.

"Oh - I shouldn't have said that!" I said and dropped down beside Snowie, comforting her. Jared dropped down on the otherside and said, "what do you mean"
"I think.. I.. I" I sighed and carried on, "I think they were taken. I have this feeling"

"This is all my fault..." I cried, in between bursts of tears.

"No its not" I said, pulling her hair back from her face and tucking it behind her ear, mumuring things to her.

"It is, if I'd acted like the older one none of this would have happened.." I replied...

"You can't stop the inevitable" I murmured again and again.

"W...we...have to do something..." I said, when the crying eased a little into a sob.
