I wandered into the kitchen, looking for Liam. I couldn't find him and a part of my mind wondered if he'd gone to see it. But I told myself that he wouldn't be that stupid and I relaxed. I walked over to where Jamie and Zoe were talking. "Hey Kids," I smiled.

"Where were you yesterday, Zo? I didn't see you," I wondered while taking a bread roll from the cupboard. I tore a piece off and ate it.

I raised one eyebrow at Zoe. "It's a worm and it stole Melanie from Jared and Jamie. It's not Melanie. Melanie's dead."

"Well, you can always hope. It's not gonna hurt us, it's not trying to escape or do anything. With soul technology she would have escaped already if she'd wanted to." I commented.

"I don't think it is." I replied, she probably thought I was being stupid. The reckless little girl everyone seemed to think I was, but I knew Wanderer wouldn't hurt any of us and I knew Becca's judgement was never wrong.

I covered the ear closest to the screechy Zoe. Ow. "You trust it, yet it took away your cousin's best friend. His sister," I nodded towards jamie. "It killed her."

"Why don't you just punch me in the face?! It's not evil, it's not hurting anyone and I don't think it killed Melanie!" I argued, getting angry.

"God, Zo. Calm down!" I soothed. Even though she was wrong, I felt bad for upsetting her. "Why doesn't Jeb just put a bullet in it's brain and end this?" I muttered to myself.

That's when I cracked, I was mainly upset but I tried to hide it by my anger. I ran out of the kitchen with the food and ran into my room. I slumped onto the floor, crying quietly.
