Intricate patterns

I sighed and slumped onto the floor.

"Now, there will be no getting Doc, or Jeb or anyone. Were gonna sit here for a bit then go and get some lunch." I said, laying down on the mat.

"I..I..I don't know about that" I said.

"No. Discussion." I said, looking at her.

"Fine" I said and went back to my hole.

I sighed heavily, the pain was getting worse...much worse. Wanderer was right, the pain killer hadnt helped. How come she knew so much? I didn't say anything about the pain though. Becca was being awfully quiet.

"By the way, you look in alot of pain" I said from my hole.

I rolled my eyes, got up and walked slowly toward the exit. "I'm pretty sure Jeb would agree with me. You need Doc. or maybe I'll bring Doc to you." I said. Snowie was stubborn, but I was even more so.

"Don't you dare!" I said, annoyed. My high pitched voice rising. I knew Becca was extremely stubborn, but I hoped she wouldnt

I sighed quietly and turned to look at Snowie. "It's either the hard way or the easy way." I told her. "Easy way, you come with me now to see Doc. Hard way, you'll be forced to see him. Either way, I'm not letting your leg get infected and if Jared didn't have Wanderer locked up in here like a prisoner, I bet she'd be helping me drag you there. In these circumstances, Jared or Kyle will probably be in Doc's room so it wouldn't be safe for her. It's your decision. Easy or hard." After my rant was over, I crossed my arms and waited.

"None. I'm not going, your not gonna touch me. I will be fine like this. And I would rather not run into any of the boys as well." I said, angrily. "If they know were gone they'll be after Wanderer as soon as possible."

"Mmk," I said, before turning and jogging out of the room.

I sighed angrily. "Becca!" I called, my annoyance showing in my tone of voice. I knew even if I could move that I could never out run Becca, she was really really fast.

"They will think i've been hidden because they will think that you wouldn't have left me here" I said to Snowie as Becca left.

"Maybe, but we're not taking that risk!" I said, smiling even though I was in intense pain and angry at Becca.

"Well shes gone to get Doc" I shivered at the name remembering the way he first looked at me and then carried on "So we dont have to worry about that"

"I'll be having a word with her." I said, winking at Wanderer.

I smiled back and relaxed against the rocks.

When I returned, I was closely followed by Doc. He had the medical supplies he needed to help Snowie, although he didn't have very much. The boys hadn't hit a medical store during their last raid. They rarely did. I moved a little faster than a jog but not quite a run.
I knelt next to Snowie, between her and the hole. I didn't want Doc to have a clear view of Wanderer and get some horrible idea. I liked Doc. I did but he obsessed over one thing for too long. I stayed silent as Doc knelt on the other side of Snowie.

Seeing Doc sent shivers down my spine and brought back memories of the first time he saw me.

I knew that Wanderer would probably either be scared or angry or something, but I couldn't help it. Snowie wouldn't go see Doc, so I had to bring Doc to her. I worried that I'd upset Wanderer too much.

I stayed hidden in the darkest part of the hole, hoping Doc wouldn't be able to see me.

"Doc, seriously I'll be fine. Just a little cut, nothing to worry about. Please, just leave it." I said, pleading for him to go. I knew it made Wanderer more uncomfortable then it made me.

I knew the main reason that Snowie wanted Doc to leave. God, she was too selfless for her own good, sometimes. "Do you want me to get Doc to tie you to the bed?" I asked with one raised eyebrow. "If you let Doc work, he'll be done faster."

Zoe:

"I seriously am fine!!" I argued, then cringed as Doc put something on the wound.
