Hidden ...

"Oh" Was all I said because at that moment. Jared Jumped up, suddenly alert from being kicked. He looked at me for a second, probably to see if I was hurt before scanning the room for the intruder.

"Yo, goofball." I called to Jared, helping his searching eyes. "I can kindof understand you wanting new surroundings for Wanderer. But to put my cousin in her place? Kyle or Ian or anyone could turn up there at ANY POINT! By the end, my voice was a shriek. I didn't give Jared a chance to answer. I stormed out of my room and started sprinting down the hall. I stopped to look normal walking through the plaza and when I stopped altogether to say hi to Trudy, I swayed a little. My mind might not be tired anymore, but my body definately was. As soon as someone else called Trudy's attention, I shot off again.

I sat up, I wasnt tired anymore. I was just a little achey from being sat in that hole. How had Wanderer managed?

I skidded to a stop when I was close to the right tunnel. I heard voices but I wasn't sure which way they were coming from. One guy and one girl. I didn't concentrate through the rush of blood in my ears. I just ducked into a small crevice. This hall was black anyway. I waited for the voices to fade..

After Becca had left, Me and Jared had gone too. We was going to meet her at the hole where Snowie is. We was in this really dark place and I couldn't even see Jared, But I knew where he was because he had a tight grip on the top of my arm.

I breathed deeply and the blood pounding in my ears got quieter. Eventually, as the voices got real close, I could only hear one, now. Jared's. I creeped out from my crevice and walked as quiet as possible closer to where I would find Snowie.
The first time I noticed that Jared was closer than I thought was when the stone floor hit my head.

I hadn't noticed what I had fallen over until I noticed it was Becca.
"Oh! Oh! Im so sorry!" I said picking myself up before helping her up. Jared still had hold of me but he was helping me get Becca to her feet. She looked hurt, she was all crumpled on the floor.

Oh. It hadn't been Jared I'd tripped over. I put one hand to my face and tried to find out what- or who- I had tripped over, but I was being pulled up and I heard Wanderer's voice. "Wanderer, I'm really sorry." I told her.

"Why are you sorry?" I asked when we was both up.

I sighed. For a smart soul, she was slow sometimes. "For tripping you, for being unnessecarily harsh about Snowie and for... hurting him in front of you," The last bit was a murmur because I knew if Jared heard it, he'd hold it against me forever.
I rubbed the sore spot on my head then dropped my hand. Well that hadn't helped the tiredness issue.

"Melanie did wince abit. I tripped over you" I said and then looked at Jared to see how much he was paying attention to.
"Melanie?" He murmured but didn't move.

I looked at Jared and back at Wanderer then back to jared. I couldn't figure out if he knew. If he had been told, he'd tell me right after this...
"Yeah, uh, Jamie's been talking a lot about Melanie since Wanderer has been here. Now Wanderer tells us what she expects Melanie would do or say. ." I lied, kindof smoothly. If he didn't know, he'd buy it.

"Its okay." I said to Becca then took a deep breath and turned to Jared. "Yes, Melanie did wince when she saw you got hurt."

It was quiet for a few heartbeats as Jared thought that over, I didn't know what Wanderer was thinking and I was wondering why I was here. It only took me a second to remember and I was sprinting again.

I saw Jared was thinking it over and was obviously going to finish this conversation off later. I hesitated a while before walking to a wall and following Becca. Before I had finished my first step, Jared's hand was on my shoulder guiding me the right way.

I heard Wanderer's slow footsteps behind me. Wanderer's because Jared never made any sound. I turned the last sharp corner and didn't stop running until I was inches from Snowie's bubble. "Hey," I whispered, dropping to my hands and knees. I sat outside her hole. I realised my whisper was hoarse because 1)I was tired, 2)I'd been running a lot(even though that was barely a reason, I was hardly out of breath) and 3)I hadn't had water in a while.
I wasn't sure if she'd recognise my voice.

We got to my prison a few minutes after Becca and I stumbled towards the hole to stand near Becca.

The blue light was off because no one was supposed to be here... well apart from Wanderer. So I cleared my throat to speak, so she'd know it was me. It didn't work. The word still came out hoarse. "Hello?"

My eyes had only just began to adjust to the dark light. Well, just the dark really. I heard a voice coming from quite close... I thought it was Becca but I couldn't quite tell it sounded very tired and croaky. "Becca?" I asked, straining my eyes to see.

"Hey cuz," I half-smiled, noticing that she didn't sound like she was in any pain. I moved so I was half sitting on the rim of the entrance to her hole, half sitting in the hole. "Come out, Zo."

I smiled and climbed out of the hole and streched. God, how could Jared shove someone in there? "Thanks" I said, smiling.

"I did nothing other than to order you around.. As per." I half-smiled, feeling bad. I was right. I was always telling zoe what to do. She was older than me. Surely she had boss rights?

"Mhmm...god I need to start acting my age..." I joked, giggling.

"Naah," I grinned. I slung an arm around her shoulder. "I love ya' just the way you are."
