Jared was patient through her hesitations. He unde- well, he didn't understand but he knew what she meant. "You could actually do that?" Jared muttered.

Jared thought he should probably go tell Doc about Wanderer's revolution but he didn't want to leave Wanderer when she was like this. He tightened his grip a little, still holding her gently.

I felt Jared's grip tighten on me and that made me get a hold of myself. "I've only done it once" I muttered.

"what?" I asked, I had noticed him smiling and it automatically reminded me of the Jared in Melanie's memories.

"But, I wouldn't let them." Jared finished, still smiling. As much as he wanted Melanie back properly, he didn't want Wanderer to leave.

Jared just smiled. "You shouldn't have to do anything that you don't want to, so I'm going to be your personal bodyguard from now."

When he said that, a tear escaped my eye. I smiled. "Thanks, Melanie says she loves you. She really wanted me to tell you that" I said. She really did, she was thrashing around tellingme over and over to tell him.

"I love you too." Jared whispered in Wanderer's ear. mainly to Melanie, but after getting to know Wanderer properly, he had to admit that he loved her too. Not in the same was as he loved Melanie, but Wanderer was family now. No one could deny that.

Melanie jumped around in joy when he said he loved her too. I smiled and another tear rolled out of my eye. I wiped it away and tucked my hair behind my ears.

"Why are you crying?" Jared murmured softly to Wanderer, brushing a tear away.

"What about?" Jared asked, smiling. His smile faltered a little when he realised that she might've known he meant her aswell when he'd said 'I love you too'. Oops?

"You only just noticed that?" Jared chuckled. "It's like Mel never left and.. it's like you've always been here too, Wanda."

I sighed, "thanks. And I know. When we were still living in Chicago, she would just throw memories at me. And she used to find my work annoying" I laughed at the memories. "She really only left for about 2 weeks or so" I added.

Jared chuckled. "That sounds like Mel. She likes to attack people." He joked, trying to spark something in Melaine, just to annoy her. He was grinning the whole time.

"She can be so.. violent. Just like she wanted to rip the seekers head off" I said, laughing at the memory. While Mel took it differently. "Hey!" She yelled and I jumped and slapped my hand across my mouth, holding it there.

He chuckled when Wanda explained about Mel. "What? What did I do?" Jared asked, jumping too. He wondered why Wanderer had shouted 'Hey'.

The way Wanda had her hand over her mouth made Jared worry. "That.. wasn't you, was it?" He said slowly, carefully.
