Never Grow Up - Open

Pixie hadn't visited me in what seemed like forever and I was beginning to think that she'd never visit me again... that she'd left me. Then this morning, at like 1.30am, she woke me up by virtually jumping on me. Then she ran out of my room after whispering 'Hide and Seek' in my ear. I quickly got dressed and left my room silently, making sure Tami didn't wake up. I didn't realize I had a huge smile on my face for the first time in forever as I searched through the corridors for her. Then after checking almost every room I found her in the wash room. She was trying to hide in the corner but her giggling gave her away. We messed about a bit and for the first time since I was about 8, I felt like a kid again, with no troubles or worries. Then when Pixie started getting tired we sat down. I knew she'd fade away soon, she always did when she got tired. I didn't know where she went, she just did. So when she put her head on my shoulder, I could tell she was about to go to sleep. So I began singing her favourite lullaby like I always did before the souls invaded.

I stopped when I heard a noise coming from outside and as soon as I stopped Pixie disappeared. I sighed, then heard another noise outside. Who was out there?

I couldn't sleep so I started walking and ended up in the washroom. I didn't know why I couldn't sleep, it wasn't like me. Maybe I was stressed, or maybe the place was finally getting to me. I heard footsteps from behind I snapped me head round. "Hello?"

I looked at the red headed girl that stood infront of me, certainly a new face. "Hello." Was all I said, looking at her from the ground in the wash room, then went back to wishing Pixie would appear again. This morning had been the best morning I'd ever had.

I yawned and my eyebrows creased "Who are you?" I asked, I hadn't seen her before, I might have seen her but I wasn't looking.

"Does it matter?" I replied, staring at the empty space were Pixie had been sitting then back up to the girl. "I could ask you the same question."

"Making conversation." I said rolling my eyes and turning around.
